The Dysart Community Foundation (DCF) has awarded a $4,000 grant to support the growing pickleball movement in Dysart, Iowa.

The Dysart Pickleball Organization (DPO) received the funding to help complete the Dysart Pickleball Courts project at Dysart City Park, ensuring the facility is ready for expanded play and community use. The pickleball courts are open to the public during regular park hours.

“We are very grateful for the Dysart Community Foundation helping us with the final touches to the Dysart Pickleball Courts,” said Reta Callahan, DPO President. “The courts are being used by many age groups, and we love to see this beautiful addition to the park.”

The Dysart Pickleball Organization thanks everyone who contributed to the project. A donor recognition sign listing all supporters is displayed near the courts.

The Dysart Community Foundation’s annual fundraiser letter will be arriving in mailboxes soon. Donations to the foundation help make community improvement projects like the pickleball courts possible and ensure continued investment in Dysart’s future.

And be sure to mark your calendars for a fundraiser pancake breakfast on Saturday, December 6, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Dysart Community Building. Held during the Dysart Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas on Main, it’s a great way to enjoy breakfast, support local projects, and celebrate the spirit of community in Dysart.
