Something New Is Rising at the Edges of Dysart

If you’ve driven into Dysart recently, you may have noticed something new taking shape at the edges of town.

Work is now underway on our new welcome signs, which will create a fresh and inviting first impression for residents and visitors alike. Located at two entrances along Highway 21 and one on X Avenue, these updated signs will replace outdated structures with a clean, modern design that reflects the pride we have in our community.

This project is the result of strong local collaboration. The Dysart Chamber of Commerce helped lead the effort, with support from the City of Dysart and the Beautification Committee. Together, we are bringing a shared vision to life, one that highlights both the look and the spirit of our town.

The signs are being constructed by Tharp Design in Vinton, Iowa, and will feature individual panels representing local organizations that play an important role in our community. Each participating nonprofit has purchased their own panel, creating a visible and meaningful way to showcase the people and groups that help make Dysart what it is.

These signs are more than just a welcome at the edge of town. They represent investment, partnership, and community pride. They send a clear message that Dysart is a place that cares about its appearance, its people, and its future.

As work continues, we look forward to seeing these new signs take shape and to the lasting impression they will make for everyone who enters Dysart.
